The playoffs hit a different level last night, and Brentwood Academy made sure everyone in Middle Tennessee felt it. Under the lights on November 14, the Eagles delivered a statement win over Montgomery Bell Academy, rolling to a dominant 42 to 14 victory to advance in the Division II AAA postseason.

Two historic programs stepped onto the field, but only one walked off still alive. Brentwood Academy came out fast, physical, and locked in with the urgency of a team chasing a championship. By halftime, the Eagles had already built a commanding lead, putting full control of the game in their hands.

First Half: Brentwood Takes Over Early

Brentwood Academy came out attacking from the opening snap. The offense established rhythm quickly, leaning on the explosive pairing of QB Crews Jenkins and RB Larry Sanders II to create early separation.

By the time the teams headed into the locker room, BA led 28 to 0. Jenkins was dealing in the passing game, connecting for two touchdown throws, while Sanders punished MBA on the ground with strong, physical runs that kept the chains moving.

MBA struggled to find consistency, and the Brentwood defense played fast and disciplined, shutting down any early momentum the Big Red tried to build.

Second Half: MBA Pushes Back, But BA Closes the Door

Montgomery Bell Academy showed fight in the second half, putting up two touchdowns and refusing to go away quietly. But every time MBA tried to make it interesting, Brentwood Academy had an answer ready.

Behind continued efficient play from Jenkins and the bruising style of Sanders, BA punched in two more scores and closed out the night with total control. The Eagles never let the lead slip and finished this playoff battle with authority.

The tone setter of the night. Sanders powered his way to two rushing touchdowns and was a constant problem for MBA’s defense. His balance and toughness set the pace from start to finish.

QB Crews Jenkins (Brentwood Academy)

Jenkins delivered a strong performance with two touchdown passes and consistent command of the offense. Calm, efficient, and dangerous when BA needed him.

From the first possession, BA’s defense played with speed, discipline, and physicality. Holding MBA scoreless in the first half set the tone and created breathing room for the offense.
