Brentwood Academy Dominates MUS 35-0 | Larry Sanders II Leads the Way With Three Touchdowns
Brentwood Academy vs. Memphis University School Recap (Oct. 3, 2025)
The Brentwood Academy Eagles kept their perfect season alive with a convincing 35-0 win over Memphis University School (MUS) on Friday night. Behind an explosive offensive showing and a lights-out defense, the Eagles proved again why they’re among the top programs in Middle Tennessee high school football.
Running back Larry Sanders II was the star of the night, slicing through MUS’s front seven for big gains and finishing drives with authority. His performance made the difference in a game that never felt close.
Player of the Game — Larry Sanders II (RB, Brentwood Academy)
Sanders was unstoppable, carrying the ball 15 times for 108 yards and 3 touchdowns. From short-yardage power runs to chunk plays up the sideline, he showed the complete package that has recruiters watching closely this season.
He opened the scoring from two yards out, added another before halftime with a mix of 31-, 20-, and 2-yard runs, and closed it out with a 14-yard touchdown that capped the Eagles’ dominance and started a running clock in the fourth quarter.
How the Game Unfolded
Brentwood Academy football wasted no time setting the tone. Quarterback Jenkins connected on passes of 25 and 48 yards to set up the first score. After that, it was all Eagles.
A 13-play, 80-yard drive finished with a Jenkins-to-Bowman touchdown. Moments later, a 3-play, 45-yard lightning strike found Bowman again for another score.
MUS showed flashes of life, posting 13 first downs and over 100 rushing yards, but turnovers and stalled red-zone drives kept them off the scoreboard.
By the second half, the Eagles’ defense smothered everything the MUS Owls tried. Brentwood’s front line dominated, and Sanders’ third touchdown sealed a complete, four-quarter performance.
Final Notes
Brentwood Academy improves to 6-0 and continues to build momentum heading into Week 8. The Eagles’ balance on both sides of the ball makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the TSSAA Division II-AAA.
MUS falls to 3-3, still searching for offensive consistency heading into the back half of their season.
