With Division II Classes A and AA stepping into the quarterfinals, Division II Class AAA already in semifinal territory, and Classes 1A through 6A all fighting for spots in the final four, every team left in the Tennessee high school football playoffs Round 3 is one win away from the next stage.
This week’s slate is loaded with home field advantages, undefeated giants, underdog energy, and long road trips that can flip a game before the opening kickoff. Division II Class A Quarterfinals
Four teams remain in Division II Class A, and every one of them has a legitimate path to Chattanooga and a deeper run through the Tennessee high school football playoffs Round 3.
University School of Jackson (10-1) vs Providence Christian Academy (9-2)

Trinity Christian Academy (10-2) vs Nashville Christian School (11-0)
This matchup is a true heavyweight showdown. Nashville Christian enters undefeated at 11-0 with real championship expectations. Trinity Christian Academy sits at 10-2 and is battle tested against quality opponents.

Boyd Buchanan (11-0) vs Battle Ground Academy (11-1)
Boyd Buchanan is undefeated at 11-0 and has looked dominant from Week 1. Battle Ground Academy at 11-1 is physical disciplined and comfortable walking in as the underdog.
Key storyline: BGA’s path is to disrupt everything Boyd Buchanan wants to do. That means forcing mistakes muddying up the rhythm and stealing a possession or two. Boyd Buchanan will try to lean on consistency depth and the comfort of playing at home to stay on track for a title push.
Class AA Themes To Watch
- Top seeds cannot afford slow starts in this bracket.
- Third downs red zone trips and special teams will swing games.
- Deeper rosters have a serious advantage in November.

Division II Class AAA Semifinals

Key storyline: Can BA keep operating with the machine like discipline shown all year. CPA is dangerous because they are playing with house money. Their upset formula is simple. Create turnovers hit a few big plays and keep BA off balance with scheme and tempo.
Class AAA Themes To Watch
- Undefeated giants like Baylor and BA carry pressure into every snap.
- McCallie and CPA roll in with momentum and nothing to lose.
- One explosive play can flip who heads to Chattanooga.
- Coaching and in game adjustments are magnified in semifinal settings.
Class 1A Quarterfinals
Only eight teams remain in Class 1A and the matchups are full of contrasting styles travel demands and home field edges.
- Sale Creek at Coalfield
- South Pittsburg vs Clay County
- McKenzie at Richland
- Middle College vs Fayetteville
Home teams hold real advantages here. Sale Creek must handle the road and avoid early mistakes at Coalfield. South Pittsburg and Clay County could turn into a line of scrimmage battle. McKenzie has to travel into Richland and manage tempo. Middle College will try to control the game at home while Fayetteville looks to steal momentum early.
