Christopher Washington Jr Iverson Classic Invitational
Providence Christian Academy’s Christopher Washington Jr delivered a Player of the Game performance at the Iverson Classic Invitational after scoring 28 points in a 79–69 win over Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA).

On a national stage at the Iverson Classic Invitational, Providence Christian Academy’s Christopher Washington Jr put together a performance that looked every bit like one of the best small forwards in the country.

Providence Christian Academy took down Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA) 79–69 in a marquee matchup that featured Washington head-to-head with the No. 1 prospect in the country, sophomore small forward AJ Williams. Washington finished with 28 points and earned Player of the Game after helping PCA control the game from start to finish.

A National Stage, A National-Level Performance

The Iverson Classic Invitational is built for games like this. High-level talent, real pressure, and matchups that feel like previews of what the next level looks like. Washington did not just score, he controlled stretches of the game with poise and purpose.

  • Shot creation that stayed under control even when the defense tightened up
  • Physical finishes that turned contact into points
  • Composure late when possessions mattered most
  • Two-way impact that showed up beyond the box score

Winning the Chess Match vs AJ Williams

AJ Williams came in as the headline name, and for good reason. The sophomore prospect brought size, length, and explosive athleticism that demanded attention every trip. Washington embraced the matchup instead of avoiding it.

From the opening minutes, Washington attacked with confidence, forcing the defense to adjust. As the game wore on, his experience and pacing started to separate. When PCA needed a bucket, a stop, or a steady possession, Washington delivered.

Player of the Game Moment

Washington’s 28 points came in the biggest moments. Timely scoring. Momentum swings. Big-time answers when the game tightened. When the final horn sounded, Washington was named Player of the Game, capping a night that elevated his national stock even higher.

Postgame Interview: Locked In, Not Satisfied

After the win, Triple Threat Sportscast caught up with Washington for an on-court interview. Instead of leaning into stats or rankings, he kept the focus on growth, discipline, and what comes next. That mindset is part of what separates him.

What This Means Going Forward

This was more than a win. This was a statement on a national stage. Christopher Washington Jr proved he belongs in every elite conversation, and he did it against top-tier competition in a moment built for pressure.

Providence Christian Academy walked out with a 79–69 victory. Washington walked out with Player of the Game. That is what a top small forward looks like when the lights are bright.
