The 2026 Tennessee high school football regular season is entering its final stretch, and with the playoffs approaching, some of the state’s most talented players are delivering performances that demand attention.
Week 10 brought explosive offensive production, record-setting individual efforts and playmakers who helped their teams secure important victories.
From a four-star wide receiver showing off his versatility to two quarterbacks responsible for seven touchdowns apiece, this week’s Triple Threat Sportscast Tuesday Talent selections feature four athletes making their presence felt across Tennessee high school football.
Triple Threat D, JG, Triple Threat Tray and Coach Daniel each selected one player whose production, impact and ability earned the TTS stamp.
Here are the four Week 10 Tuesday Talent selections.
Triple Threat D’s Pick — Maximus Curry | Battle Ground Academy | WR | Class of 2028
Week 10 Performance
- 206 total yards
- 3 touchdowns
- BGA defeated Goodpasture 49-0
Maximus Curry continues to show why he is considered one of Tennessee’s premier young offensive playmakers.
The Battle Ground Academy standout delivered another impressive performance in Week 10, producing 206 total yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats dominated Goodpasture Christian 49-0.
The victory improved BGA to 8-1 and extended its winning streak to five games.
But Curry’s impact stretches far beyond one big Friday night.
During his sophomore season in 2025, Curry established himself as one of Tennessee’s most productive receivers, finishing with:
- 57 receptions
- 1,404 receiving yards
- 20 receiving touchdowns
That production helped Curry earn recognition on the 2026 Preseason MaxPreps Junior All-America Team.
What makes Curry especially dangerous is that defenses cannot simply define him by one position.
After BGA starting quarterback Bo Bryan suffered a collarbone injury against Pope John Paul II on October 16, Curry stepped into an unfamiliar quarterback role and helped keep the Wildcats moving.
Despite primarily playing wide receiver, Curry completed three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns while helping BGA secure a 35-0 victory.
That type of versatility says more than athletic ability.
It shows trust.
It shows football intelligence.
And it shows a willingness to take on responsibility when his team needs him.
Why Triple Threat D Selected Him
Curry represents the type of offensive weapon defenses must account for on every snap.
Whether he is catching passes, creating explosive plays after the catch or stepping into another offensive role, his versatility gives BGA another dimension as the Wildcats prepare for postseason football.
Triple Threat D’s Stamp
A playmaker who can impact the game in multiple ways.
JG’s Pick — Miles Reding | Kirkwood | QB | Class of 2027
Week 10 Performance
- 14-of-19 passing
- 254 passing yards
- 4 passing touchdowns
- 104 rushing yards
- 3 rushing touchdowns
- 358 total yards
- 7 total touchdowns
- Kirkwood defeated Northwest 56-0
Seven touchdowns in one football game is an extraordinary accomplishment.
Doing it twice in the same month is something else entirely.
Kirkwood quarterback Miles Reding has delivered two seven-touchdown performances during October, establishing himself as one of the Clarksville area’s most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks.
On October 23, Reding accounted for all seven of Kirkwood’s touchdowns in a dominant 56-0 victory over Northwest.
Through the air, he completed 14 of 19 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns.
On the ground, Reding needed only three carries to generate 104 yards and three more touchdowns.
That is what makes a true dual-threat quarterback difficult to defend.
Take away the passing lanes and he can hurt you with his legs.
Load the box and create additional attention for his rushing ability, and he can distribute the football downfield.
And this was not Reding’s first seven-touchdown performance of October.
October 2 vs. La Vergne
- 303 passing yards
- 5 passing touchdowns
- 75 rushing yards
- 2 rushing touchdowns
- Kirkwood won 60-6
Across those two performances alone, Reding produced 736 combined passing and rushing yards while accounting for 14 touchdowns.
Why JG Selected Him
Reding brings a different dimension to Kirkwood’s offense because defenses cannot focus on one part of his game.
He has shown the ability to generate explosive plays through the air and on the ground while consistently creating scoring opportunities.
As the postseason approaches, Reding has proven that he can put points on the scoreboard in bunches.
JG’s Stamp
Two seven-touchdown games. One dangerous dual-threat quarterback.
Triple Threat Tray’s Pick — Xavier Murray | White House-Heritage | QB | Senior
Week 10 Performance
- 23-of-29 passing
- 392 passing yards
- 7 passing touchdowns
- White House-Heritage defeated Sycamore 63-20
White House-Heritage quarterback Xavier Murray delivered one of Tennessee’s most impressive passing performances of Week 10.
Murray completed 23 of 29 passes for 392 yards and seven touchdowns as the Patriots defeated Sycamore 63-20.
Seven passing touchdowns in a single game immediately gets attention.
Doing it while completing nearly 79 percent of your passes makes the performance even more impressive.
Murray also averaged more than 13 yards per attempt, demonstrating that the efficiency was not built around short throws alone.
He was creating explosive production and turning passing opportunities into points.
Throwing for nearly 400 yards is impressive.
Throwing seven touchdown passes is impressive.
Doing both in the same night created one of Week 10’s strongest quarterback performances.
Why Triple Threat Tray Selected Him
Murray’s performance was a showcase of quarterback efficiency and production.
He distributed the football, created explosive passing plays and repeatedly finished drives with touchdowns.
White House-Heritage put 63 points on the scoreboard, and Murray’s seven touchdown passes were at the center of the offensive explosion.
Triple Threat Tray’s Stamp
392 passing yards. Seven touchdown passes. A monster night through the air.
Coach Daniel’s Pick — Kinyun Ford | Fayetteville | RB | Sophomore | No. 4
Week 10 Performance
- 22 rushing attempts
- 266 rushing yards
- 4 rushing touchdowns
- Fayetteville defeated Richland 38-22
Some running backs have big games.
Others put together stretches of football that help change the direction of an entire season.
Fayetteville sophomore running back Kinyun Ford is doing exactly that.
Ford delivered another outstanding rushing performance in Week 10, carrying the football 22 times for 266 yards and four touchdowns in Fayetteville’s 38-22 victory over Richland.
That works out to approximately 12.1 yards per carry.
The win also gave Fayetteville its third consecutive victory after the Tigers opened the season with five straight losses.
But Ford’s Week 10 performance becomes even more impressive when combined with what he did one week earlier.
October 16 vs. Moore County
- 16 rushing attempts
- 253 rushing yards
- 3 rushing touchdowns
- 5 tackles
- 1 interception
- Fayetteville won 34-7
Two-Game Totals
- 38 rushing attempts
- 519 rushing yards
- 7 rushing touchdowns
And Ford is only a sophomore.
That is what makes the development story so interesting.
He is not simply flashing future potential.
He is producing at a high level right now.
Why Coach Daniel Selected Him
Ford has demonstrated the ability to create explosive rushing plays while giving Fayetteville consistent offensive production during its late-season turnaround.
His recent performances have played a major role in helping the Tigers generate momentum heading toward the postseason.
With 519 rushing yards and seven touchdowns over two games, Ford has put himself on the radar as one of Tennessee’s emerging young running backs.
Coach Daniel’s Stamp
519 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in two games. The future is bright in Fayetteville.
Four Players. Four Stories. One Triple Threat Standard.
Week 10 showed exactly what TTS Tuesday Talent is supposed to represent.
Maximus Curry continues to establish himself as a versatile offensive weapon capable of impacting a football game from multiple roles.

Different positions.
Different classifications.
Different stages of development.
Different stories.
But all four have demonstrated the ability to make a major impact when their teams need them.
As Tennessee high school football approaches the playoffs, these are the kinds of players capable of changing the outcome of a game.
Triple Threat Sportscast congratulates all four athletes on earning this week’s Tuesday Talent recognition.
